Student Life at Ivy Ridge Academy
Structured and Disciplined Environment: At Ivy Ridge Academy, there is a code of conduct and rules that students are supposed to follow. A student’s day starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 9:30 pm. The class time is six hours and includes classes and breaks. Students are also given time to reflect on their lives and share their experiences. Six day week allows students to progress fast. Sundays routine for students is a bit relaxed. They are given time to do cleaning, writing letters, and even for watching movie. The environment is positive and perfect to make students excel academically and become better individuals.
Merit Based System: We follow a merit system that allows students to earn points and privileges according to the status. The points earned depend on the performance of students. Students at the Academy at Ivy Ridge earn Status Advancements in the following order: Regular, Achievement, Advanced Service, Honors, and High Honors based on points accumulated by them.
Opportunity for Positive Change: We allow students to make choices and carry their responsibilities well. They work in a healthy group environment that helps them to understand themselves and others. They also learn to help each other as they progress. This gives them a sense of self-worth and improves their confidence level. When students step out of the academy they are different individuals who are confident, skilled, well-groomed, educated, and compassionate. They also develop a strong value system.
A great learning experience: Our well-qualified staff guides and motivates students at each stage. All our teachers are New York State certified. Apart from classroom teaching, we also give students time to explore themselves in outside atmosphere. This makes the learning experience enriching and more effective. We offer students best facilities, spacious classrooms, computerized curriculum, healthy meals, well-maintained playgrounds. The years they spend here are some of the most memorable years of their lives.
